Hi, all, my name is Kat and I’ve been studying history for decades. There’s a lot more to me than that, of course, but that’s not what this blog is about. I’m not one of those people who unduly romanticize the past, but I’m definitely fascinated by it. Everything was so different and interesting (sometimes to the point of seeming completely alien or, at least, recognizable but still downright insane) that I thought I’d start this blog to share some of the more interesting highlights I’ve come across. I’ve been studying history much more in recent months for a project I’m working on, so I’m brimming with useless but fun facts, which are hopefully fairly entertaining and educational. I have no idea where this is going, but I hope you enjoy the ride.
Hi, I’m me :)

I'm a 40-ish female (of the crazy cat lady variety) and hope I never stop learning. It doesn't matter what I'm studying as long as I'm learning something new but, just lately, I've mostly been focusing on history and folklore. I have degrees in psychology and anthropology and would love to be a published author one day. In the meantime, I've learned so many fun and interesting things that I thought I'd start a blog to share some of them. View all posts by katgirlrowe
